By purchasing the battle pass, you receive one of each treasure. However, this requires purchasing 9 of treasure I, 14 of treasures II, and 14 of treasure III. Thus, reaching level 83 is guaranteed if you complete all of these things. Live! Suppose they do better than 5th, and that's even more games played. Conversely, if VP takes 5th as previously established, they're going to be competing across somewhere between 22 and 28 games (depending on which specific path they take to get to 5th place). Supposing these things hold true, I'm making the assertion that Serenity plays their small number of heroes across the 16 or 17 games they make it through in TI. My pick was Serenity, based on A.) A small hero pool across an admittedly small sample size, and B.) The belief that they're going to get bounced early. Let's take a perfectly reasonable conclusion for VP, such as you think they're going to finish 5th like they did last year (I could say 1st or 2nd here, but that's the best possible version of my argument, and I want to demonstrate this with a scenario that's slightly less than ideal). I can get behind using your reasoning for Secret, but I disagree with doing so for VP. I'll be back with more content (hopefully pertaining to Fantasy again) as we draw closer to TI8. All of my selections are derived from a statistical analysis of recent tournaments (chiefly, the China Supermajor and the TI8 Main Qualifiers), and before you ask, no, I don't believe The Summit will have an impact on any of THESE picks (I might revisit some of my selections in the Heroes section from Part One, but nothing that happens at The Summit is going to affect my answers to questions like "which player will have the highest average GPM" or "which team will pick the fewest heroes", etc.).Īs always, I very much appreciate everybody's support, and I hope you like it. This installment covers the Team and Player picks in your compendium. I released Part One of my TI8 Compendium Predictions Guide earlier this week, and today, I give you Part Two. Live!
